About BioThane®
BioThane® is a high‑quality coated webbing material made in the USA. It is manufactured in North Ridgeville, Ohio, and designed to be stronger, cleaner, and more durable than traditional materials like leather or nylon.
At its core, BioThane starts with a polyester webbing base that’s wrapped in a protective coating. This gives it a smooth outer surface that’s completely waterproof, odor resistant, and easy to clean - all without the upkeep that leather and nylon require.
Fun Fact: this material is also widely popular in the horse industry because it stays flexible, strong, and reliable even in muddy, wet, or dusty conditions.
